Various dialects of Bandari dialect (from the heirs of Middle and Ancient Persian) which is one of the sub-branches of Persian language, constitute the language of the people of Hormozgan. Local Arabic speakers based in Iran have migrated to other ports and islands of Hormozgan from other parts of the country, such as Minab, Bandar Lengeh, Lavan Island and Kish Island
